At long last

Hello all

Last year I decided to make two memory books for my nieces who lost their Daddy real sudden. Shock to all the family. Anyway after starting and having to stop because it was just tooooooo emotional I have finally finished both of them. The second did not take as long as the first as I had sorted out where the pages were to be placed and what photos were to be used. I am sending them to the girls via my sister Tina so that she gets a look at them as she out of all his sisters was closest to my brother

Here are one or two photos to share
I tried to create books where they would have a chance to include some things that they wanted to do and as seem to have most of the family photos I have included photos that I know they haven't seen before. The PP that I used and stickers etc are from the lovely Fleurie

She's moved out........

Finally............

NO only joking, I was however beginning to lose the will to live going through Domain.com with Alice looking for a place for her to stay....

She's moved to Kensington and she told me tonight on the phone that Avalon was a half an hours drive for her instead of the 1 hour and 45 minutes........... and the Airport was 20 minutes in non peak and half and hour in peak, so she's a real happy little vegimite at the moment.

The apartment she is sharing with another cabin crew member Sarah is just beautiful, two good sized bedrooms, Alice's has an ensuite and the lounge, eating, kitchen area is really a good size for two people, you wouldn't want more than that in the place. When you step out on the balcony you overlook Flemington race course so not to far for her to stumble home........

It's very quiet in our house now, no battle of the stereos and Geoff has been painting her room (now offically my scrap room) and Sophies room in the most beautiful palest shade of grey, just stunning and fresh and after the brown and yellow of Alice's room and deep purple and lilac of Sophies room its a welcome relief. Here are some pictures

before

after

Poor Geoff has to paint the walls twice with white to hide the brown and yellow, the same for Sophies except her dark purple wall had to be painted three times. Why do it you ask, well the grey on the brown and the grey on the yellow looked totally bizzare and I would just not have been happy..........

He has one more day of painting in Sophies room and then he's done.

And yep I have started moving all my "stash" into my room, will take photos when its finished and I have stopped rearranging for the 50th time

I have been scrapping..............honest

Over the last few weeks I have not been posting very much into scrapbookcapitals (sorry not sure how to make a hyperlink yet) gallery, but I have been scrapping and I have committed a cardinal sin (yes I am catholic) and I haven't taken photos...............

I have been helping my beautiful friend Gail create an album for her gorgeous husband Mark's 50th birthday and I will need to get it back from her and snap some photos...........

However, at Scrapbook Capital the lovely Sammi has been organising the swaps and one swap was called "Blind and Naked", I thought this was just Sammi's warped sense of sexual humour however this was not the case............. wondering if I am sorry about this.............. mmmm..... let me think................. nah.

So here is my layout using all the papers that came from the rest of the ladies involved in this swap

This is my Mum and my two brothers and I love this photo and it just fitted the colours perfectly don't you just love it when that happens.....

Ta ta for now, dinner is ready

Sophie made it to 19...........

Now some of you would be wondering why the title of the post and for most of you, you will know what a hard time Geoff and I have had over the last year with Sophie.......... mainly due to the nerdy boy she WAS going out with, however he is long gone, thank goodness and we have our daughter back althoud it is a bit disconcerting sometimes when she is actually nice.......

So here are a few photos of her on her 19th birthday, we went to BarBosh in Fountain Gate and the food was just superb, word of warning, consider sharing a main as they were massive

Sophie, me and Alice

Gotta love those Cosmopolitans............. Yum

Gotta love birthday cake too!!!!!!

I have succumbed to Blogland

Well here's the thing.......................

With much thanks to the lovely Hetty Hall who has been helping me with the setting up of this blog. I have finally decided to succumb to using a blog. The main reason is to keep my family and friends up to date with what is happening in our family as they are overseas in many different countries

You see the girls over at Scrapbook captial dared me to do it and for those of you who know me you know that I can't resist a dare............

So all I can say at the moment is watch this space
